Zaos Entertainment S.A is responsible for the content it publishes in the game, on the website and in the community channels it runs. We take care to keep it accurate, but game information, guides and announcements change as the game develops and are provided for general information only.

Players can publish their own content, such as chat messages, names, guild descriptions and posts in our community channels. This content is the responsibility of the player who publishes it and does not represent our views. We do not review it all in advance, but we act on content that breaks our Code of Conduct or the law once we become aware of it, including through the reporting routes described in section 4.

All content of the Zaos game and website, including software, code, graphics, models, animations, maps, music, sound effects, texts and logos, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. Unless stated otherwise, it is © Zaos Entertainment S.A. All rights reserved. You may not copy, modify, distribute or publicly use this content except as our Terms of Service allow or with our prior written permission.

4. Notice and takedown

4.1 Reporting infringing content

If you believe that content available in Zaos, on our website or in our community channels infringes your copyright, trademark or other rights, or is otherwise unlawful, please send a notice to legal@zaos.global. We accept notices from rights holders anywhere in the world, including notices drafted in the form used under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). To let us act quickly, your notice should contain:

  1. your name, postal address, email address and, if you act on behalf of a rights holder, the name of the rights holder and your authority to act for them;
  2. a description of the work or right you believe has been infringed;
  3. the exact location of the content concerned (for example a URL, a character or guild name, or a description of where it appears in the game), with enough detail for us to find it;
  4. an explanation of why you believe the content is infringing or unlawful;
  5. a statement that you believe in good faith that the use of the content is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law; and
  6. a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act on their behalf, with your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete notices may delay our response. Knowingly submitting a false or misleading notice may make you liable for any damage caused.

4.2 What we do

We review each notice and, where it is justified, remove the content or disable access to it. Where appropriate we inform the person who published the content and give them the opportunity to respond. We may also apply the measures described in our Code of Conduct.

4.3 Counter-notice

If content you published has been removed and you believe this was a mistake or that you have the right to use it, you can send a counter-notice to legal@zaos.global. It should contain your name, contact details and account name, identify the content that was removed and where it appeared, explain why you believe the removal was wrong, and include a statement that the information is accurate, with your signature. We may share the counter-notice with the person who sent the original notice and may restore the content unless they show us that they have taken legal action.

4.4 Repeat infringers

We may suspend or close the accounts of players who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.

Our game and website contain links to websites and services run by others, such as Discord, YouTube and payment pages. We have no control over their content and are not responsible for it. If we become aware that a linked page contains unlawful content, we will remove the link.

6. Reporting a security vulnerability

We welcome reports from people who find security vulnerabilities in the game, the launcher, the website or our services. Please send your report to legal@zaos.global with a description of the issue, the steps to reproduce it and its possible impact. When researching and reporting a vulnerability, please:

  • give us a reasonable time to fix the issue before you share it with anyone else;
  • access or change only the data you need to demonstrate the issue, and never the data or accounts of other players;
  • not disrupt the service, degrade other players' experience or carry out denial-of-service, social engineering or physical attacks; and
  • not use the vulnerability for any advantage in the game.

We will confirm receipt of your report and keep you informed of our progress. We do not take action against people who report vulnerabilities in good faith and in line with these guidelines. Using a vulnerability or exploit in the game instead of reporting it is a breach of our Code of Conduct.

7. Dispute resolution

Consumers in the EU may also use alternative dispute resolution where available. We are not obliged to, and do not, take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, unless the law requires us to. Your rights under our Terms of Service and under the mandatory law of your country are not affected. If you have a complaint, please contact support first.
